DNS propagation checker

Ask two public resolvers for a record and see whether a change has reached them.

Why changes take time

Resolvers keep each answer until its TTL runs out, so a change shows up at different moments in different places. Type the value you expect, such as your new server's IP address, and the result says whether each resolver already returns it.

Two resolvers cannot speak for the whole internet, and your own network may still hold the old answer. When moving a site, lower the TTL a day ahead so the old answer expires faster, and read our guide to moving a website. For every record on a domain, use the DNS lookup.
