Not tested hands-on yet. This page is based on what the host publishes and on general buying advice. We have not bought this plan or measured its speed or uptime, so we give no scores. Check prices on the host's own site, because they change often.
Free hosting is fine for learning, for trying an idea or for a page few people depend on. It is a poor home for a business. We offer a free plan ourselves through a partner, so treat this page with that in mind.
The limits you should expect
- Low limits on storage, traffic and database use, and accounts that may be suspended when you reach them.
- A subdomain instead of your own domain on many plans.
- Ads on your site on some services, and little or no support.
- Shared IP addresses that can land in spam or block lists because of other users.
Better free options by project
For a static site, the free tiers from modern static hosting platforms are often far better than traditional free cPanel hosting, because they serve files from a global network. For anything with customers, budget for a low-cost paid plan.
Before you commit
Make sure you can take a full copy of your site and that the domain is registered in your own name. These two things decide whether you can leave later.
